Performance Management Review

The performance management review is to identify critical success factors and weaknesses in the planning and steering process, to evaluate them and thus define recommendations for action.

Benefits

  • Identification of management content and processes in view of step-wise optimization
  • CPM roadmap as a basis for the planning of additional themes, projects, and resources
  • Enhancing efficiency in view of winning, making available and putting to use management and steering information
  • Optimizing information system architectures

Typical initial situation

Practice has shown that several companies invest in individual performance management initiatives but that the potential benefits can usually not be put to use.

  • Strategic goals are only defined by top hierarchical levels and are not consistently broken down to comply with the requirements of other organizational levels
  • Strategic and operational planning are not defined simultaneously and thus often run parallel to one another
  • Planning and reporting are often not concerted
  • The data quality of management information is inconsistent within the company and can thus not serve as a single source of truth
  • Insufficiently integrated IT solutions in form of Excel spreadsheet reports are costly and no longer meet management and reporting requirements
